General Discussion Rules
Welcome to the General Discussion category. Here, members can participate in various different discussions and we intend for this to be a more relaxed area of Self Concept. We do hope that you will follow the few given guidelines.

T.O.S - Terms Of Service
The entire Self Concept T.O.S is still in effect in this category. If you are unfamiliar with the Self Concept T.O.S you can read it by following this link. We do ask that you familiarize yourself with this document before participating at Self Concept.

Restricted Topics
  • Birthday Topics - While the gesture is nice and always appreciated by those celebrating a birthday, it is unfair that some members will get a topic while others wont. This could be for many reasons such as popularity. Here at Self Concept we enforce equality, and due to this we cannot allow individual birthday topics.
  • Introduction Topics - The purpose of this category is to serve as an area of main discussion. Please refrain from posting topics to introduce yourself in here.
  • Support Topics - This is not a support forum; it is a general chat forum. If you have support questions ask them at the support forums.
  • More topics may be added to this list at any time, given sufficient reason to do so.
Landmark Topics
If you have achieved a posting landmark here at Self Concept, you are given permission to create a topic about it if you so desire. If you intend to create a landmark topic, try to make sure the landmark is note-worthy. (For example, 10/20 posts is hardly a landmark) Also please try to add some sort of point to the topic, other than just the landmark you have achieved. This can include shout-outs, or perhaps a story of your time here.

Backseat Moderation
Only members of staff should be doing moderation duties. If you are not a member of staff and take it upon yourself to backseat moderate then you are breaking the T.O.S, this is because backseat moderation posts are usually spam. If a topic or member needs attention from the staff, then it will be dealt with by the staff. If something goes unnoticed you are able to report it to a staff member.

If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact a member of staff, we are always willing to assist you.
