Self Concept Terms Of Service Term I : Agreement By registering at Self Concept, you have made an agreement to follow the forum’s Terms of Service stated throughout this contract. You are expected to follow and read everything written in the Terms of Service, and by not doing so; your actions may lead to a suspension or ban. Term II : COPPA Violating If you are caught breaking our COPPA rule, you will be asked to get formal permission from a parent or guardian to be on the forums. If not complied within 5 days or more, your account will be banned and you will have to wait until you are of the age of 13. For full information as to what COPPA really is, view here. Term III : Prohibited Contents A member may not promote or include any prohibited content in their post, links, emails, personal messages, images, skins, uploads, signatures, or anything another member can see. Prohibited content includes: Flaming - Any derogatory comment directed toward another member is considered flaming. Simply any post that is made to hurt another members feelings or forum status. Spamming – Spamming is a post that is simply meaningless and holds no real value. please refer to our “Forms of Spam” for a more detailed definition of spam. Ripping – Ripping is when a member claims they created something they did not. This can include skins/graphics, but does not have to be the whole skin/graphic as it can be a small portion of it taken from another member. Illegal Content – Illegal content is anything against a state or federal laws including copyright laws. This includes illegal software, key codes, mp3s, serial numbers, terrorism, or any act of violence. Explicit Content – Explicit content includes excessive profanity and any form of sexual content. Forms of Spam Spam of any kinds is strictly prohibited on Self Concept as listed above, but the following are different types of spam in detail. Off Topic Post – A post that does not relate what so ever to the topic and is totally irrelevant. Bumping – Whenever a member post two or more times (also referred to double posting) usually to move his topic to the top of the forum for faster replies. Posting in topic that has been inactive for 14 days is also considered as bumping and is strictly prohibited. Chain Letters – These are the post that a member copies and paste randomly anywhere, and usually encourages other members to do the same. Flame Post – A post that is considered to be flaming another member, and flaming is any derogatory comment directed toward another member is considered flaming. Term IV : Skins and Graphics Copyright Self Concept is the sole owner of the forum’s skin and graphics and may not but used under any circumstance, unless the administrators give full approval. All skins and graphics that are posted are owned by their respective owners, however the copyright to Self Concept must be kept intact, or that will be considered as ripping. Term V : Advertising Advertising is limited to your profile and signature. Advertising anywhere elsewhere (personal messages, emails, forum topic) is against Self Concept’s Terms of Service, and anyone doing so will be dealt with and punished. Recruiting staff through PM is also strictly prohibited. Term VI : Multiple Accounts The use of multiple accounts is strictly prohibited. Each member is limited to one account. If you are found using multiple accounts, you will be punish and one of your account will be ban. Term VII : Name Changes Members, SC Friend and staff may get their name changed as long as they fit the current requirements. Requirements for members: i. Must be a member for at least 3 months. ii. Must have a warn percentage of 10 percent or lower. iii. Must wait at least 3 months between last name change. Requirements for staff and SC Friend: i. May get one name change when appointed. ii. Must wait 3 months between last name change. Requirements for Staff: i. May get one name change when appointed. ii. Must wait 3 months between last name change. Term VIII : Breaking the Terms of Service If a member is caught breaking anything found in the terms of service, then they will be punished as we see fit. While we do not have to follow this list exactly, this is how rule-breakers will usually be dealt with: i. Verbal warning - A warning via pm or responding post by a moderator telling a member to immediately cease their behavior. Disregard to a verbal warning will result in more severe punishment. ii. Warn - An increment of punishment given when a fairly severe rule has been broken. When a warn is issued, a mod queue will be issued along with it. iii. Mod-Queue - A “tag” a moderator has placed on a member account causing a moderator to have to preview a post or topic before a member posts it. iv. Suspension - A form of punishment where the suspended member is not allowed to post at Self Concept for an allotted amount of time. Increments for suspension can last anywhere from a week to multiple months. v. Ban - Indefinitely not being allowed to be a part of Self Concept, or even view its content. Term IX : Additional Rules As well as our forum’s Terms of Service, you are expected to follow several other rules and contracts. This includes Zathyus Networks Term of Service and each individual forum’s guidelines. Throughout the Self Concept, you will notice pinned topics in almost every forum, these tend to be rules and guidelines, that you are expected to follow. Term X : Notice Please acknowledge that we have the ability to punish any member for any reason we find necessary. Even if the member broke a rule, not stated in any current rule. You are responsible for you own account, and even if someone “steals” it, you are fully responsible. Checking this document periodically is your responsibility as it may be changed at any time.
