Branding is done quite firmly. To improve the community, you're going to need to promote the forum more, get the word out :)

If so, you can create topics of your own. :r If you want activity, the staff are supposed to give a little kick with this. You guys are supposed to make topics for us to post and participate in. Once that happens, members will follow. I for one would love to see more competitions to get the community involved - But I know how hard this is. So I suggest hiring more staff who are more dedicated and know what they do. A theme revamp, more competitions as I said, more resources, more less common things.

Like a posting contest or something completely unique. There's a posting contest going on now in which you win a custom coded theme by Tue. I think I'll have to get back to you guys on this one. Self Concept is a great forum, but there's something it lacks. While the community is lacking, and that's a big part of it, it's hard to perfect a community. There's something missing, but I don't know what it is.

First off, 2/3 of the team isn't active. =/ I think Tue needs to also encourage staff to submit - or get out. And next, for a stronger community, quality topics and more forums to post in.

Thank you all for the input by the way :) Forum games are always fun, but they aren't necessary. Having forum games generates posts, but not what is needed for a strong community. It takes effort by a strong staff team.

We host contests and giving out good prizes, we expanded our forums, we advertised a lot and continue to pump out theme in the database but the members won't bite. However, we will not give up just yet and will continue to do within our power to improve this board.

I like games. There's already a 'Chit Chat' topic in the general chat forum. There's no need for a whole forum for that. :hmm: I see what you're saying, Tue. I have noticed a ton of new things lately, yet the activity hasn't been up too much. I would say a revamp, but you just did a mini-revamp with the holiday theme and you didn't get a big activity boost then. Don't give up, though. Us that do post enjoy this forum.
