I mean I get the general concept of having every member post 10 times, but honestly, what good does it do? It either discourages members from visiting or forces them to. And those 10 posts will just be a tiny bit of activity... it's just hollow, if you ask me.

I agree, mostly because I'm in a bit of a rush to find a nice skin before I go to sleep, but still.

Though it forces the member to take part, it might be that little boost they need to get to know the community better. Otherwise, they might post their introduction topic, close the window, and never check back again.

At least that's what I assume. :p

Think of it this way, the creators of skins put great effort into their work to produce quality skins, and most of the time, the creator releases his or her skins to the public.

In the real world, you have to pay (usually with cash or a source of currency) to acquire what you need or desire, but on a forum, you "pay" with posts. This way, you give back to the forum since you are taking something from them, like the idea of Supply and Demand.

I think that was very well said. Plus, it's not difficult to get 10 NON SPAM posts. I just did it in a manner of like 15 minutes.

People are usually attracted to resource forums just for the resources; but there is more to SC that just the themes. We have a great, small community which you might miss out on if you just come for designs and leave, without trying to participate. 10 posts allow users to experience the community and see if they enjoy it or not. Maybe you will revisit and join our community. :)

This is better. I actually now like this forum for the community instead of the themes. Keep it up ;)

Very true.

I wish as well that you didn't have to post but really and truly it is only fair.
